In this tutorial, we explain how to record your conversations from Facebook on the computer, to view in offline mode. For this, there are 3 solutions:
Download data from your Facebook profile;
Connect Facebook to Skype;
Use Facebook Chat History Manager.
Record conversations from Facebook
1. The first solution is to use the backup tool in the Facebook profile. In practice, you will download all your account information to the computer.
The Backup created by Facebook contains information such as photographs posted, contacts, messages, etc.
To open the backup file it is necessary a program “decompressor” files (we recommend WinRAR or Universal Extractor).
For more details about how to create a backup of your Facebook profile, and download your conversations from Facebook, see the following tutorial: how to create a backup of your Facebook profile.
Finally, just open the compressed file, and access the “html” folder and open the file “messages” with the browser.
2. The second solution is to communicate with your Facebook friends via your Skype (replacement of the Messenger).
To do this, you will need to connect your Facebook account to Skype, as we explain in the following article: connect Facebook to Skype.
Make sure the option to “Keep history” of Skype is active. To do this, go to the Menu Tools-Options-Privacy tab and in the “keep history for” select the amount of conversation you want to keep.

The conversation is only saved when Skype is open (even if talk by the browser);
3. Another solution is to use the plugin Facebook Chat History Manager (for Mozilla Firefox). After installing the plugin, you will need to create a small free account.
To do this, go to the Tools Menu of Firefox-Facebook Chat History Manager-Create Account-log in to your Facebook account, and complete the account creation.
Now, whenever you want to export the history of Facebook, go to the Tools Menu of Firefox-Facebook Chat History Manager-Export History.
